KaziHire Terms of Service (ToS)

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the KaziHire platform (the "Site"), including its website, mobile app, or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Site.
2. Key Definitions

Client: A user who books handyman services through KaziHire.

Service Provider: A vetted professional providing services via KaziHire.

Service Request: A description of work submitted by a Client.

Booking: A confirmed appointment between a Client and Service Provider, including payment.

Content: Any text, photos, videos, or materials uploaded to the Site.
3. Account Registration

Eligibility: Users must be at least 18 years old (or 13+ with parental consent for limited features).

Accuracy: Provide truthful information during registration. You are solely responsible for account activity.

Deletion:

Delete your account directly in the app: Go to Profile > Delete Account.

Alternatively, email [hello@kazihire.com] with “Account Deletion Request.”

All data (except legally required records) will be erased within 30 days.
4. Service Bookings

Requests: Clients submit Service Requests with details (e.g., location, job type, photos).

Matching: KaziHire connects Clients with Handymen based on proximity, skills, and availability.

Payment: Full payment or deposit is processed securely upfront. Refunds follow Section 6.

Cancellations:

Clients: Cancel ≥24 hours before service for a full refund. Late cancellations forfeit payment.

Service provider: Repeated cancellations may result in account suspension.
5. Service Provider Responsibilities

Insurance: Service providers must carry valid general liability insurance covering their services.

Safety: Comply with all safety regulations and industry standards.

Quality: Deliver services as described in the Service Request.
6. Disputes & Refunds

Issues: Report problems within 7 days of service completion via the Resolution Center.

Refunds: Granted if work is materially deficient (supported by photos/app evidence).

Mediation: KaziHire may mediate disputes but is not liable for Service provider’s workmanship.
7. User Rights & Responsibilities

Prohibited Conduct:

No unsafe, illegal, or hazardous requests (e.g., unlicensed electrical work).

No harassment, discrimination, or fraud. Violations result in account termination.

Privacy:

Clients grant Handymen access only to perform agreed services.
-
Handymen must keep Client information confidential (e.g., property details).

Content: Clients own photos/videos uploaded for Service Requests. KaziHire may use anonymized data for marketing.
8. Liability & Disclaimers

KaziHire’s Role: We connect Clients and Service provider but do not employ or supervise Handymen.

No Warranty: Services are provided “as is.” We do not guarantee work quality or safety.

Service provider Liability: service provider indemnify KaziHire against claims arising from their services.
9. Termination

By You: Delete your account anytime (Section 3).

By Us: Suspend accounts for violations of these Terms, fraud, or safety risks.
10. Governing Law & Disputes

Jurisdiction: Governed by the laws of Kenya.

Arbitration: Disputes must be resolved through binding arbitration before litigation.
11. Amendments
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
